Polyethylene glycol is a kind of high polymer, the chemical formula is HO(CH2CH2O) NH, non-irritating, slightly bitter taste, with good water solubility, and many organic components have good compatibility. With excellent lubricity, moisture, dispersion, adhesion, can be used as antistatic agent and softener, etc., in cosmetics.
It is widely used in cosmetics, chemical fiber, rubber, plastics, papermaking, paint, electroplating, pesticide, metal processing and food processing.
PEG products are classified into cosmetic grade, food grade and industrial grade.
1. Used for a variety of preparations, such as injection, eye preparation, oral and rectal preparations, etc.
2. For drugs that are not readily soluble in water, they can be used as carriers of solid dispersants to achieve solid dispersion.
3. Used as analytical reagent, gas chromatographic stationary liquid.
4. Widely used as a modifier of carrier and the inner wall of the capillary column.
5. As dispersing agent, lubricant, emulsifier, mold polishing agent, agent, softener in production of rubber, metal processing, paper and other industrial, etc.
6. Daily-use cosmetics industry with moisturizing agent, inorganic salt solubilizer, viscosity regulator, etc.
7. Used as a flocculating agent, fluid anti-friction, adhesives, thickeners and denture fixative.
8. Low molecular weight PEG, used in cream, emulsion and toothpaste, shaving cream, etc.
9. PEG with high molecular weight is suitable for lipstick, deodorant bar, soap, shaving soap, foundation and cosmetics.
